Non-contact optical measurement methods of the velocity field, such as measuring with Laser Doppler Anemometer and Particle Image Velocimetry, has been investigated. There were also considered algorithms on the basis of which can be implemented Particle Image Velocimetry. Particularly, standard cross-correlation algorithm, adaptive cross-correlation algorithm and algorithm based on the reconstruction of the second image frame. A comparative analysis of methods were made .
