Abstract (English):
This paper presents an analysis of one of the accidents with the explosion of natural gas at the gas distribution station. The causes of gas leakage and the formation of explosive air-gas cloud are examined. The potential sources of ignition are identified. During the preparation of this work more than 80 accidents with explosions of natural gas in indoor spaces were analysed. A statistical framework for the further stages of research on risk assessment and management of such accidents was developed.
