    <p>Электрохимическое поведение редокс пары Pb(II)/PbO
                  2 на золотом электроде изучалось при многократном циклировании с различной скоростью развертки потенциала и скоростью вращения электрода в растворе 0,003 М Pb(ClO
                  4)
                  2 на фоне 0,1 М NaClO
                  4, рН = 5,0. Показано, что в анодной области, предшествующей образованию PbO
                  2, формируется интермедиат, количество которого зависит от скорости развертки потенциала. На основе анализа циклических вольтамперограмм и результатов вращающегося дискового электрода, сделан вывод об адсорбционной природе интермедиата. Предложен механизм формирования PbO
                  2. </p>

   <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
    <p>The electrochemical behavior of Pb(II)/PbO
                  2 redox couple on the gold electrode has been studied by cyclic voltammetry with varying potential scan rates and the rotation speeds. Solution composition was 0.003 M Pb(ClO
                  4)
                  2 in the presence of 0.1M NaClO
                  4 background electrolyte, pH = 5.0. It was shown that in the anode region an intermediate whose generation precedes the formation of PbO
                  2 is formed. The amount of the electrochemically generated intermediate was observed to depend on the potential scan rate. Based on the analysis of the voltammetric and rotating disk electrode data we concluded about the observed intermediate tends to adsorb on the surface thus affecting ensuing reaction step. The mechanism of the entire sequence of reaction steps leading to PbO
                  2 formation was proposed as well.</p>
