This paper presents a study for modifying biocompatible polymer matrices based on polylactic acid (PLA) and its composites with hydroxyapatite (HAP) through the impregnation of lidocaine hydrochloride in a supercritical carbon dioxide environment. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to develop new biocomposite materials for implant medicine that combine high biocompatibility with a prolonged therapeutic effect. The aim of the work is to study the effectiveness of the process of impregnating medicinal substances into polymer matrices under supercritical conditions. During the research, the patterns of lidocaine hydrochloride dissolution in a supercritical CO₂ environment at various thermodynamic parameters were studied. Modification was carried out on both pure polylactic matrices and PLA/HAP composite materials (mass ratio 70/30). The experiments included determining the optimal impregnation conditions and investigating the effect of pressure and temperature on the degree of matrix saturation with lidocaine hydrochloride. It was established that the maximum impregnation efficiency is achieved at a pressure of 35 MPa. It was shown that PLA/HAP composite materials demonstrate a higher ability to retain the medicinal substance compared to pure PLA matrices. It was revealed that with an increase in the duration of contact with the solvent, the degree of lidocaine release increases, reaching a maximum at a 24-hour exposure. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of technology for producing biocompatible implants with controlled anesthetic release, which can be applied in traumatology and orthopedics to reduce postoperative pain. The results obtained expand the possibilities of creating a new generation of biocomposite materials with specified properties for regenerative medicine.
