The authors analyze the structure and properties of various fractions of thermally activated zeolite of the Tatarsko-Shatrashansky deposit of zeolite-containing rocks, their adsorption ability and their use as ameliorants (mineral-zeolite fertilizers). Zeolites are widely used in the production of construction materials, as food additives, catalysts in the chemical industry, for wastewater treatment, for adsorption and drying of gases. The adsorption properties of zeolite samples were studied in this work: specific adsorption surface, total pore volume and pore size distribution. Nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms were used to describe the microporous structure of zeolites. Analysis of the experimental data obtained from different samples allowed us to select the zeolite fraction with pore sizes of 1.25-2.5 mm. The technique of zeolite ameliorant production and its use in agriculture was developed. The influence of the developed ameliorant on the yield of grain crop, namely winter wheat Mironovskaya 808 in laboratory conditions was studied. The study showed that ameliorant application to the soil contributes to the increase in wheat yield. The optimal doses of ameliorant application were selected. The optimal concentration of nitrogen-zeolite ameliorant for increasing the yield is 100-800 kg/ha. The obtained data can be used for semi-industrial and industrial tests on application of the proposed nitrogen-zeolite ameliorant on other agricultural crops, including root crops.
