The field and direction of research and development in the leading Australian universities have been studied. The review of the Bachelor's and Master's curricula on nanotechnologies in the institutions of higher education in Australia has been made. It is assumed that a cooperation of Russian and Australian universities in the form of the academic exchange for the curricula improvement should take place.
