A detailed survey of promising areas of specialist training in the field of energy- and resource-saving technologies has been carried out. Data on conducted research in the field in the leading universities of the world was examined and interpreted. It was found out that energy- and resource-saving technologies attract international attention, research in the field is usually interdisciplinary and includes such sciences as chemistry, physics, biology, economics, sociopsychology, etc.
