A modified approach to the evaluation of scientific activity based on total citations published researcher works, suggesting, along with a simple calculation of the number of references record number of co-authors in each of his cited (both by himself and by others) publications, has been proposed. It is noted that this approach allows a more objective assessment of a single quoting of a specific author. Also, a modified Hirsch index that takes into account the number of co-authors in the cited publications has been proposed.
