Abstract (English):
The modification of isotactic polypropylene by means of high molecular polyoctene within the processing stage was carried out. The influence of polyoctene on a polypropylene structure was studied with the help of the thermal analysis. It was found out that polyoctene incorporation changed thermal characteristics of the isotactic polypropylene. As it is shown in the work, polyoctene contained in the modified samples is located in intercrystallite areas of the polypropylene submolecular structure and provides chain flexibility of polypropylene macromolecule and mitigates intermolecular interaction. The increase of the modifier content was detected to cause phase separation in the isotactic polypropylene.
