In this paper are presented the results of study of physical and mechanical properties for glass-reinforced resin, stamped as Norpol 420 – M 750, which is used as up-to-date engineering material for manufacturing chemical equipment. It has been shown that the principal characteristics of this material can be compared with those of metals and their density characteristics are even better. Here are also given the results of introducing novel glass-reinforced resin gas-ducts in the production of sulfuric acid.
