Investigated the effect of processing Nonequilibrium Low-Temperature Plasma (NLTP) on the water-repellent properties of prepared leather for special purposes. The optimal modes of plasma modification was selected, in which hydrophobic surface is created leather of prolonged action. Established that after processing of leather for special-purpose by NLTP, hygienic characteristics of the material are rising, due to the redistribution of porosity and organize the supramolecular structure of collagen.
