It is shown that injection of bis (vinylsulfonyl) methane in gelatin polymer composition stitching gelatinous polymer layers and, consequently, increase the melting point and mechanical strength. Increasing BVSM above 0.20 g/g gelatin did not further improve the physical and mechanical properties of the layers formed, which may indicate full flow chemical crosslinking reaction of reactive groups of gelatin.
