An influence of the counter-ion nature on the phase behavior of DNA is an extension of research studying the biopolymers self-organization. In this article the phase diagram of the polyamine-DNA/lecithin/water ternary system is revealed. It is shown that the neutral stoichiometric polyamine-DNA complex doesn't penetrate into the lipid membrane. This result helped to look deeper on the role of amphiphilic counter-ions in the DNA-lipid self-association.
