The temperature distribution in combustion wave of nitroglycerin, nitroglycol and diethyleneglycol dinitrate is determined. It is shown that combustion surface temperature of studied nitrate esters is determined by their boiling temperature, wherein no chemical reaction takes place in condense zone, i.e. combustion process takes place according to gas-phase model. It is established that combustion surface temperature of propellants based on the studied nitrate esters is higher than the boiling temperature of plasticizer alone. The explanation is given for that fact.
