It is shown that cationic surfactants are compatible with polyethylene and polypropylene and allow for processing of polymeric compositions by extrusion. Application of Quaternary ammonium salts improve physical and mechanical properties of polyethylene and polypropylene films, increase their strength and deformation characteristics.
