In work the analysis of most often used methods of cleaning of museum polymeric materials of a natural origin is carried out: «wet» cleaning (cleaning in the water environment), «dry» cleaning (chemical cleaning). It is established that cleaning in the water environment is used for museum and archaeological textiles with well remained structure of fibers and the pickled dyes which have been strongly connected with fiber. Chemical cleaning is applicable for textiles with strongly destruktirovanny fibers, and also for any kind of textiles, including ethnographic where the direct, acid and main dyes which have been poorly connected with fiber prevail.
