Effect of surface hydrophobicity of talc on flowability properties of the has been explored. The particle-size distribution of talc was examined by several independent methods. Zeta potential of particles, wetting angles, electric conductivity of the solutions and surface tension has been determined. The dependence of angle of repose and time needed for the sample to flow out of the funnel on waterproofing agent concentration has been studied.
