Abstract (English):
Presented are the results of experimental investigation of high current high frequency capacitance discharge (HFCD) between a jet electrolyte electrode and electrolytic cell with flowing electrolyte in the pressure range 2·10 3-10 5 Pa as well as a discharge between a metal electrode immersed in non-flowing electrolyte at 10 5 Pa. The transition of a low current HFCD to high current one is studied. The significant influence of pressure on the transition voltage is found. It is established that in the case of an immersed steel electrode the magnitude of the transition voltage from low current HFCD to high current one is significantly higher. The streamer discharges are found to facilitate to such transition. It is shown that at voltages U ≥ 3500 V the high current HFCD transforms to a torch type discharge.
