Dissolved oxygen in water is an important characteristic of the ecological condition of water reservoirs, and its use in the calculation of water complex quality which have been used for drinking, for household and industrial purposes. The concentration of dissolved oxygen has been studied in several rivers of the North-East Region of Tatarstan Republic: Menzelya and Belaya in 2007; Kriusha, Tanaika, Toima in 2007, 2009; Kama river in 2007, 2009 and 2010. It had been shown that oxygen concentration in all these rivers is in the range 2.4-3.3 mg/l and lowers its norm 4 mg/l. Significant differences between years have not been found. By oxygen concentration, all the rivers studied belong to the category Dirty rivers. Consequently, water from these rivers cannot be used without prior multilevel purification.
