Abstract (English):
Possibilities of selective removal syngenetic organic matter for bentonite like clays from Tatarstan Republic deposits and shows by oxidation H 2O 2 (30%) and NaOCl (6%, рН 9,5) water solutions after preliminary removal of carbonates with 1 mol/l СН 3СООН are investigated. Both reagents provide practically identical efficiency of organic carbon removal from initial clay raw materials - about 80%. Changes in structure of silicate mineral phases after H 2O 2 and NaOCl treatment are insignificant. Removal of organic matter is accompanied by improvement of colour characteristics of bentonite like sedimentary clays based on essential increase L-values (lightness) in CIELAB colour space.
