The geographical position and historical factors predetermined petrochemistry development, in particular the polymeric industry in Ukraine. Lack of own considerable fields of hydrocarbons and transit in this regard situation (supply of oil and gas to Europe through Ukraine from Russia) were directly reflected in petrochemical productions, in particular, production of basic large-capacity polymers. But in recent years the political environment, the West European orientation became a stagnatory factor of development of the polymeric industry of Ukraine.
