We consider the organization of independent work of students in the context of competence-based approach. It was revealed that the formation of professional competence of graduates of secondary vocational education requires a holistic approach that could be implemented with a significant change in Research contents and learning in secondary vocational education, in particular, to changing attitudes towards the organization of independent work of students. The conditions under which the independent work of students to be effective and will contribute to the development of professional competencies for future technicians manual multichannel communication systems.
