The paper discusses the development of international academic mobility and the influence this is having on the necessity to study foreign languages in tertiary education, particularly English language. It describes goals, tasks, content and methodical support of a training course for doctorate students “International Communication in Education and Science”, which aims at motivating and preparing students to take part in international scientific and educational exchanges.
