Experiments were performed to obtain from the bark of birch tar dead wood by pyrolysis at temperatures of 200, 300, 370 and 700 °C. It is found that at a temperature of 200 °C tar is formed , the output product - a small amount of yellow water. Pyrolysis 300 and 370 °C yield of tar is 25 and 50 % of the feedstock, respectively. At 700 °C the product output totaled 23.75%. When compared with the purchase of tar obtained in their solubility in non-polar hydrocarbons (hexane, benzene, kerosene), it was found that the resulting birch tar does not comply with regulations.
