The article discusses the social conditions for the emergence and consolidation of loneliness, the company carried out, swiftly analysis of this phenomenon in Russia and abroad, and is characterized by a situation in which mediated communication is preferable to single real. The author offers regarded as social isolation is not negative emotional experience of human beings in social isolation, but as a natural and constant companion of the society in any historical period.
