Abstract (English):
The kinetics of sugar beet pulp high-temperature hydrolysis with sulfurous acid in the temperature range of 160-190ºC was investigated. The highest concentration of reducing substances in the hydrolyzate (8.6 wt%) was achieved by hydrolysis of beet pulp with 1.66 wt% sulfurous acid at 190º C. The reducing substances yield was 31,4% of total carbohydrate content and 36,8% of tota hemicelluloses content in the sugar beet pulp.
