Abstract (English):
From the viewpoint of context learning, the student action during Russian-wide academic competitions on organic chemistry may be characterized as an intermediate one between quasi-professional (for which both the educational and future professional activity are essential) and education-professional work (within which a student is involved into the solution of professional research problems), and therefore the importance of Olympiads is determined by the fact that these forms of the activity of students form conditions for overcoming typical explanation-illustrative type of the learning which dominates in professional education.
